"We have great confidence in Occam - the company, the personnel and the products. We have had the BLC in our network for more than four years, and during that time, we have found the sales, support and engineering teams to be very responsive. They have worked with us to meet our needs and requirements, adding features that we have said we wanted."
-Duo County Telephone Cooperative, Mark Henry, VP of Operations - Kentucky
"Occam is very focused on delivering innovative products to the market they are serving. They are delivering a scalable, IP-based platform that enables independent telcos to deploy tomorrow's solutions today, making it easier for companies like Tuckersmith to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing technology environment."
-Tuckersmith Communications, Rob Van Aaken, Plant Operations Manager - Ontario, Canada
"I smile and I pat myself on the back for selecting Occam. I made the decision a long a time ago, when lots of other vendors were touting that they could do the same thing as Occam. Today, I rarely talk to an IOC that has products from those vendors installed in its network. In fact, some of those vendors are no longer around."
-CC Communications, Dave Tilley, Broadband Supervisor - Nevada

If you missed the 2006 Occam Networks Users Group (ONUG) Conference, here are a few of the highlights from this year's three-day conference.
This year Occam inaugurated a first-ever series of optional technical training workshops before the conference on the topic of Securing the Access Network - New and Emerging Features and IP Security Management. The company presented a total of 10 general sessions ranging from a Standards Update to FTTP to an Occam Product Roadmap discussion.
The Network Engineering Panel offered attendees the chance to discuss Network Design Ideas with a group of Occam sales engineers. This event was a hit among the attendees with 85 percent rating the event as 'excellent' or 'above average.' Another attendee favorite was a customer presentation given by Dave Martin of Blackfoot Telephone who shared his experience in transitioning the company's access network to IP and Ethernet.
Other events included Application Briefs by a variety of Occam partners including, Aware, Cisco, CopperCom, IneoQuest, Innomedia, MetaSwitch, Tekelec and Thomson; a Customer Panel discussion on delivering video; and a myriad of social events, games, music and fun.
A good time was had by all and everyone found the event highly beneficial. Here are a couple of attendee comments:
- "Really appreciated being able to sit with the various people and chat and work. Made it feel like we were all in this together, not just vendor and customer."
- "Great job!! Very beneficial to me and my company and yet a ton of fun!"
We hope to see you at next year's event!
