In Their Words: Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative - Alabama
"We were early adopters of the Occam BLC platform, installing the BLC 1200
about three years ago. From the start we were very impressed
with the company's all around expertise. From the sales force
to the technical and support staff, the Occam people are highly
knowledgeable and very supportive. They are willing to listen to their customers
and are very responsive to our needs."
"We consider Occam a very innovative company and the leading IP-based equipment manufacturer. After installing the initial Occam product, we conducted a second field trial to evaluate other manufacturers. Occam was still head-and-shoulders above the other manufacturers. We found that everyone else was trying to be like Occam."

In Their Words: Moapa Valley Telephone
"We conducted video field trials to evaluate products from Occam and two other manufacturers. The Occam BLC was up, running and delivering video in two hours, while it took the second manufacturer two days to deliver video and the third never delivered the service. The simplicity and ease-of-use of the Occam product is very important to us. It save us time and money."
"We like the fact that Occam is a very forward thinking company. We trust that regardless of the applications and services our customers require, Occam will be a step ahead with the products and solutions that will enable us to deliver them."
"Occam products are all standards-based IP and Ethernet, which means we won't be faced with compatibility issues down the road. That means a simpler network to install, configure and manage."
Brad Lyon, Manager

August Leatherman Raffle Winner
Dean Wood, CO Technician for Citizen's Telephone Cooperative in Floyd , Virginia is the proud new owner of an Occam Leatherman Juice S2.

"Citizens is a small Independent Telephone Company that offers a wide variety of services," said Wood. "We jumped off the ATM "bandwagon" early and never looked back, switching our broadband equipment from ATM to IP before the Occam BLC 6000 Series was available."
"Today we have upgraded to the BLC 6000 and we couldn't be more pleased. The Occam support staff has been great to work with. One of the things I like about Occam is that they don't stay at one stage with their product; they are constantly adding new features or making changes that customers suggest."
Congratulations, Dean, and thanks for participating!

For the founders of Occam Networks, building a strong, successful and growing company has always been of utmost importance. Since our inception we have been working toward that goal, and I am pleased to report that we have made first-rate progress.
We are growing in a number of important areas:
- To date we have shipped more than 900,000 DSL ports, prompting industry analyst firm Broadband Trends to report that we were among the four top companies to increase its DSL market share in the first quarter of 2006.
- For eight consecutive quarters we have experienced double-digit new customer growth per quarter.
- We continue to expand and grow our product line with innovative, cutting-edge technology introducing seven new products over the past six months with the BLC 6314 generating an Innovative Excellence Award .
- Each quarter we add to our workforce, bringing in more of the best and the brightest from across the nation, adding more than 20 people to the Occam talent base since the beginning of 2006 alone.
We have worked very hard over the life of the company to become the financially stable company we are today. We have reported record revenues for each of the last eight quarters and have reported operating profits for the last three. We have a balanced and experienced Board of Directors with respected industry leaders such as former SureWest Communications President and CEO, Brian Strom, former Vice Chairman of VALOR Telecom, Kenneth Cole, former Chairman of the Board of Western Digital Corporation , Thomas Pardun, and CFO of Pyxis Technology , Inc. , Robert Bylin.
Most importantly, we continue to receive what we believe is the industry's highest customer satisfaction rating over the last six years. This is the true measure of a strong, successful and growing company.
Bob Howard-Anderson
CEO, Occam Networks

Do you have subscribers who want IPTV or other high-bandwidth services that you
can't deliver as a result of your local loop length? If so, Occam and Comtrend
have been working together to solve your problem. The two companies have
recently completed interoperability testing between the Occam BLC DSL Blades
and the Comtrend NexusLink modem, which supports the ADSL2+ DSL bonding standard
(G.bond ITU 998.1).
Together the two products deliver significantly higher speed data rates at much
longer local loop lengths than single pair modems, enabling you to deliver revenue
generating services like IPTV to more subscribers than ever before without replacing
your current infrastructure. Because both the BLC DSL Blade and the NexusLink
support DSL bonding the Occam/Comtrend solution makes it possible to push up
to 15Mbps of data up to 12 kft depending on the gauge of the wire. The
ability to support one HD, two SD televisions and high-speed data for a 12kft
CSA effectively enables you to increase your addressable market for IPTV and
other video services.
This new capability also enables you to take advantage of the new NECA tariff,
which eases regulation of the second copper pair.
The Comtrend NexusLink will be generally available in late September. For more
information on the Comtrend NexusLink, contact Dan Knofler at 949.753.9643 or dan.knofler@comtrend.com .
