The CEO Connection

With 2007 coming to a close, I'd like to thank all of you for your support during the past year. During the year we broadened our technology and products to ensure that we have the solution you need to grow your businesses. Occam is the only manufacturer that can deliver point-to-point FTTx, and GPON FTTx solutions, delivered over resilient 10GigE aggregation rings all from a single chassis with the simplicity, flexibility and scalability that you need. We also made a commitment to becoming the leader in IP based multi service access as we've illustrated with the development and acquisition of our new GPON fiber technology.

As we worked through a challenging time during our Audit Committee review, you were all remarkably supportive, and we are grateful for your loyalty. During this period your support enabled us to continue to move forward, to expand our product line, to grow the company and to stay true to our mission. I am delighted that the audit has been completed with all our revenue from 2003-2005 being validated, and that the SEC has decided that no further review or action is required.

As we move into 2008, we remain committed to delivering innovative solutions to your most pressing telecommunications challenges – products and solutions that will continue to be the industry's simplest to install, deploy and manage.  We remain committed to our vision: the simplest solution is the best.  And we remain committed to you.

Happy Holidays!

Bob Howard-Anderson

President and CEO

Tech Tip

Troubleshooting life-line POTS interfaces.

Troubleshooting life-line POTS interfaces can be a long and cumbersome process that can often result in a costly truck roll. Coming in January: Occam GPON White Paper

GPON triple play networks are set to grow as rapidly in the next decade as DSL has in the last one. The dropping costs of fiber deployments and the low maintenance costs of passive outside plant make GPON a good investment. But something else will drive the rapid growth of GPON: IP-HDTV on demand. Learn how Occam GPON solutions deliver powerful, comprehensive, easily managed triple play access.

Watch your email for the availability of the GPON from Occam: Triple Play Over Ethernet and IP white paper!

ONUG: User Group Conference Presentations Now Available

The Power of Partnership

Occam and Aware improve rural IPTV deployments.

Early last year we began offering Dr. DSL® Line Diagnostics Platform from Aware to enable dr. dslour customers to pre-qualify and provision copper lines for IPTV and advanced triple-play services over DSL. Compatible with Occam's BLC platform, Dr. DSL offers rural telcos a complete system for implementing advanced DSL diagnostics for next-generation services. Since then Dr. DSL has played a key role in a variety of IPTV deployments across the country. Companies like Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative and West Kentucky Rural have saved money, reduced the need for additional personnel and reduced IPTV deployment time with the Occam-Aware solution. If IPTV over DSL is in your future, learn more about this powerful combination with a product demo from Occam.

Schedule your demo today by calling your Occam representative.
