On March 31st, Fairpoint Communications, Inc. is expected to complete the purchase of Verizon's wireline business in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Occam was selected as the lead access equipment supplier and our products will play a critical role in the modernization of the newly acquired New England properties. This is a multi-phased project that kicks-off with equipping 200 COs with 10G transport and adding more than 50 thousand DSL lines. With the BLC 6000, Fairpoint will deliver the products and services it requires today while building an Ethernet infrastructure that can scale to deliver tomorrow's services to a growing customer base. During March we anticipate reaching a major company milestone—the shipment of our two millionth IP enabled BLC port. This success is attributed to the innovative spirit that lives in all Occam customers who recognize that IP and Ethernet are superior building blocks for today's telecom networks. TelcoTV Prize Winner Spotted Cruising Santa Barbara We spotted Shane McCann of Wisconsin's Marquette-Adams Communications cruising Santa Barbara's State Street in a customized BMW a few weeks ago. Scott was the lucky winner of the recent TelcoTV drawing for an all expense paid weekend getaway to Santa Barbara. According to Shane, "Beaches and palm trees are a welcome relief from Wisconsin snow anytime, but especially in February. Thanks Occam for a great time." Scott and his wife were quick to adjust to the change as these photos clearly show. |

I'm pleased to report that March has been a month of significant achievements for Occam. On March 2nd, at the Minnesota Telecom Alliance's annual convention, attendees were able to see the first public demonstration of our award winning GPON FTTP solution which will begin shipping in the next quarter. This fully functioning preview demonstrated the success our engineers have had in integrating Terawave technology into our BLC 6322 GPON blade which promises to set industry benchmarks for performance. Occam's ON 2400 series ONT was also on display highlighting our commitment to providing fully managed, end-to-end solutions. Attendees were excited to see the live demo and are eagerly awaiting product shipments. This week the product will begin field trials as well.
