Ganado Telephone Deploys Occam's Equipment to Provide Broadband Services in Remote Areas

Occam Networks, a broadband access network supplier, announced that its Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC) access equipment has been utilized by Ganado Telephone Company, of Ganado, Texas.
Ganado is upgrading its network, a project being carried out in several phases, and this is the beginning of the second phase. In this phase, Ganado will reduce its copper network loops and utilize Point-to-Point Ethernet Fiber to the Home (FTTH) instead. After this, Ganado will be able to offer a range of new, advanced broadband services to customers.
Bill Rakowitz, General Manager of Ganado Telephone, commented that being a rural telecommunications service provider, Ganado wanted its access equipment company to supply it with both highly-reliable and easy to deploy products apart from providing highly professional support service, and Occam succeeded on all counts as its blades were easy to install, turned up very quickly and its services team provided attentive and personalized service.
Ganado works as areas Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) for both business and residential customers. Ganado is fully utilizing the Multservice Access Platform (MSAP) features of Occam’s BLC copper and fiber access products.
Occam FTTH solution has enabled Ganado to provide telephone and broadband data services to a very remote and isolated area that has never before had reliable telephone service available to them. In fact, these residents couldn't even rely upon the wireless telephone service was unreliable for until Occam stepped in.
