Occam Networks Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Certification
Company Becomes One of the Few Companies in North America to Meet New ISO Standards
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., October 1, 2001 - Occam Networks, Inc., the leading supplier of Broadband Loop Carrier equipment to carriers and telecommunications service providers worldwide, today announced it has successfully completed an audit by TUV Management Service and has been certified and registered to ISO 9001:2000 standards. Occam Networks is one of approximately 100 companies in North America to have achieved the ISO 9001:2000 registration level to date.

The International Organization for Standards (ISO) is recognized as the industry leader in setting standards that ensure excellence in the quality and reliability of the goods and services manufactured and delivered by organizations around the globe. Released in December 2000, ISO 9001:2000 is the latest version of the international Quality Management Standard ISO 9001. This standard includes eight quality management principles: customer focused organization, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, systems approach to management, continual improvement, factual approach to decision making, and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
