Occam Networks Receives 2007 Southern California Technology
“Network & Security Company of the Year” Award

The Technology Council of Southern California Presented Award at the 13th Annual Gala Event

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – March 8, 2007—Occam Networks Inc. (NASDAQ: OCNW), a supplier of innovative Ethernet- and IP-based loop carrier equipment to telecommunications companies, announced today it has won “Company of the Year” in the Network & Security category of the 13th Annual Southern California Technology Industry Awards, sponsored by the Technology Council of Southern California (TCOSC).

The “Network and Security Company of the Year” award is presented to the network or security company headquartered in Southern California that has been in operation for more than three years, and that receives the highest aggregate ratings in: Sales/Revenue Growth; Team Building; Product Innovation; Positive effect on the technology industry within the Southern California region; Industry Trade Organizations; Legislative Activities Pertinent to the Technology Industry; and Other Civic, Community Involvement. Finalists in the Network & Security category were 8e6 Technologies and SOA Software.

The Technology Council of Southern California presented the 2007 Technology Industry Awards at a gala dinner the evening of March 7, honoring individuals and companies that have made extraordinary contributions to the growth of Southern California as a center for technological innovation. Past winners of Technology Council Awards include Earthlink, FileNet and Citrix Online.
