BLC 6000 Chassis
BLC 6001 Stackable Chassis and BLC 6012 High Capacity Chassis
Low Density: Standalone 1-Blade Assembly
Medium Density: Multiple Blade Stacks
High Density: 12-Blade Chassis
The BLC 6001 Stackable Chassis and the BLC 6012 High Capacity Chassis provide flexible deployment configurations for the BLC 6000 Broadband Loop Carrier system. With these chassis, BLC 6000 Blades can be deployed as standalone assemblies for low density applications, as stacks for mixed-capability medium density applications, and in high capacity configurations at sites requiring the greatest density. Together they deliver the major benefits of the BLC 6000’s unique Intelligent Blade Interconnect Architecture.
BLC 6001 Stackable Chassis
The BLC 6001 Stackable Chassis holds a single 6000 series blade, which can be deployed as a self-contained, standalone unit. The blades plug into the front, allowing fast and easy field replacement without disconnecting the back wiring. Port capacity-usually 24 or 48 ports-is determined by the blade used, but the chassis itself is designed to accommodate up to 96 lines. The units can be stacked with any combination of blades to allow practical and economical low and medium density deployments that meet exact site configuration needs. The BLC 6001 chassis is one Rack Unit high, allowing low profile deployment.
BLC 6012 High Capacity Chassis
The BLC 6012 High Capacity Chassis holds up to twelve 6000 series blades. Any model blade can be deployed in any slot and in any combination. The high capacity chassis can support 288 to 576 subscriber lines depending on the mix of available blades used. Blade interconnect is through a connection plane that also distributes power and alarm connections to all of the slots. The BLC 6012 delivers the features of a modular chassis without the limitations of a switch fabric backplane. The chassis is 12 RU high including the fan tray and fiber management shelf.
