BLC 6000 MSAP Chassis
Low, Medium and High Density Chassis
BLC 6001, BLC 6006, BLC 6012i, BLC 6012
The BLC 6001, 6006, 6012i and 6012 chassis provide a variety of flexible deployment configurations for the BLC 6000 multiservice access platform (MSAP). With these chassis, BLC 6000 blades can be deployed in configurations ranging from standalone assemblies to high capacity configurations and blades can be mixed and matched to provide mixed-capability applications.
The BLC 6000 MSAP chassis features Occam's Intelligent Blade Interconnect Architecture (IBIA). IBIA combines distributed traffic processing on the blades with a unique blade interconnect system to achieve unprecedented flexibility for cost effective configurations in low, medium and high capacity deployments. Distributed traffic processing eliminates the cost of common equipment, and the BLC 6000 blade interconnect system removes the future-proofing limits of traditional backplanes. BLC blades interconnect through the integrated Ethernet backplane of the BLC 6006 and 6012i or by direct cabling multiple BLC 6001 chassis.
