Designed for medium density deployments, the BLC 6006 holds up to six BLC 6000 blades and supports up to 288 directly connected subscribers or 768 GPON subscribers depending on the mix of blades used. As with all BLC chassis products, any blade can be deployed in any slot and in any combination. The chassis features an integrated Ethernet backplane with up to 20 Gbps of bandwidth per slot. Local connections are provided by ten 10/100/1000BaseT ports and network transport is provided by pluggable GigE and 10 GigE fiber transceivers. Blade self discovery and network configuration settings are automatically loaded in the chassis via OccamOS (Version 6.2, 7.0 or later). The BLC 6006 chassis is 7 RU high and is horizontally mounted in a 19” or 23” rack.
