ON 2342 Active Fiber Triple Play Gateway
The Occam Networks (ON) 2342 Optical Network Terminal (ONT) provides symmetrical Gigabit Ethernet transport and direct active fi ber subscriber access termination for the BLC 6000 Broadband Loop Carrier system.

It can be mounted outside a residence or business delivering voice, video and data services to homes, SOHO and small enterprises. The electronics will be in a separate replaceable module that will be hinged and secured with a special tool.
Unprecedented Bandwidth for Video and Data Applications:
Multiple High Defi nition TV channels and streaming Internet applications can easily exceed 100Megabit bandwidth. The ON 2342 ONT with its active symmetrical Gigabit Ethernet optical link can easily accommodate the need for many multiple bandwidth hungry applications.
Lifeline POTS and VoIP:
The ON 2342 ONT is also designed for delivering Lifeline POTS and VoIP. This capability allows cost effective delivery of multiple lines as well as Lifeline POTS (up to two lines can be equipped).
Subscriber Security Protected:
Occam's patented IP Security Management allows for dynamic, "hands free" network security. Leveraging the scalability of IP, the simplicity of dynamic confi guration with DHCP and the economy of Gigabit Ethernet, Occam brings a cost effective solution to the challenge of Administration, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) of subscriber traffi c. With IP Security Management, the network is more secure than a traditional ATM circuit-oriented architecture while maintaining the cost effi ciencies in both capital and operations of DHCP+IP+Ethernet.
