Flexible, Scalable
Occam provides a complete line of remote terminal cabinets ideally suited to meet a variety of diverse copper and fiber deployments. From small footprint to medium-sized pad mount fiber and/or copper environments, Occam's cabinets can be deployed in a variety of locations and are designed to meet a full array of requirements. Occam cabinets are economically configured with modular features to provide service providers with the components needed to meet their particular deployment. Service providers can deploy fiber and copper solutions side by side in existing locations and in new build areas. Or, they can deploy copper cabinets today and upgrade them to fiber in the future. Copper and fiber solutions can also be easily deployed from a single cabinet. Occam cabinets are available in several configurations and are easily upgradeable, enabling service providers to deliver additional services to meet customer demand. Occam cabinets provide an excellent foundation for a service provider's application and deployment needs.
Full-Featured Enclosures
Occam cabinets are full-featured enclosures that support multiple shelf assemblies with a full complement of fans, protector panels, charger/rectifiers and batteries. The cabinets are loaded with functionality within attractive enclosures that optimize the footprint and minimize right-of-way concerns. With an Occam cabinet a service provider can install a single cabinet that can support a larger deployment later allowing it to preserve its capital until the extra capacity is required. Occam cabinets may be fitted with optional cross connect fields, internal or external fiber management options, battery types, and a variety of other cabinet options.
Robust Thermal and Power Management
Built according to industry standards and designed to withstand the harshest environments, Occam environmentally controlled cabinets deliver reliable protection and provide superior thermal management to support high take rate, high bandwidth voice, data and video services in remote environments. Thermally rated to support the most demanding environments, Occam cabinets eliminate excess heat to keep your equipment operating efficiently. Occam cabinets include an SNMP-enabled power management shelf. The controller may be configured to aggregate cabinet sensors such as intrusion, thermostat, thermal probes, battery state for forwarding to a centrally-located OccamView Element Management System. For specific applications, some Occam cabinets may be configured to express power a small, pole-mounted cabinet, eliminating right-of-way, AC powering, and cabinet profile concerns.
Simplified Fiber Management
Occam cabinets support fiber deployment needs today and into the future. Occam cabinets feature fiber management solutions to permit either internal or external fiber splicing options. The fiber management solution includes integrated fiber bend management and termination panels. The cabinet allows for easy cable pass-throughs for fiber management and dressing. As a fiber deployment grows, additional fiber management modules may be deployed in the field. Simply select the fiber management options and scalability that meet your requirement.
Occam provides a patent pending fiber jumper storage adapter to make installing, managing and servicing its fiber blades simple and easy. Fiber connectors that have not been deployed simply plug into the storage adapter with the small form factor pluggable (SFP) cage's dust cover still attached. When the fiber links are deployed, the technician inserts the laser into a BLC blade, removes the dust cover from the link and connects the fiber.
To ensure easy manageability Occam fiber cabling is colorcoded and includes a color-coded assignment table on each patch cable and patch tray.
Technician Friendly
Occam cabinets are designed to provide field technicians with easy accessibility for service and maintenance. Equipped with plug-and-play modules, components such as rectifiers, fiber management assemblies or fiber cable dressing can be easily serviced. Additionally, Occam cabinets provide separate access to cross connect and electronic equipment for skilled field technicians.

Occam provides a full line of cabinets ideally suited for a service provider's network. The cabinets range in size and capacity from 24 lines to 1,152 lines. Each can be equipped with a full range of options and integrated equipment that make them an essential part of any access network.
