Deployment Services
On-Site Deployment Services provide complete assistance with the installation, configuration, and integration of your Occam product and goes beyond the standard installation activity. Experienced Systems Engineers will be at your designated site to ensure site readiness, configure and integrate the Occam BLC into your network, and train your technical support personnel.
On-Site Deployment Services are scheduled in advance to assure that senior technical resources are available where and when you need them most.
For an efficient installation, we will ensure a proper site environment, verify circuit connectivity, and install racks, cable, and power. It is also necessary for you to provide our Systems Engineer access to your site and remote access to your BLC network via the OSSAN server.
Once on-site, our goal is to ensure that the new equipment and technology works within your network environment. Service may include some or all of the following:
- Unpack, inventory, and inspect equipment on site
- Physically install and mount Occam chassis in rack or cabinet
- Slot blades, plug in all cables, power up, and perform local diagnostics
- Load Element Management software and configurations
- Verify configuration, options, and network link connectivity
- T1, GigE, Subscriber, and Fiber
- Provision and turn-up equipment
- Perform agreed upon verification acceptance testing
- ISP, Voice, Video
You may choose to have Occam pre-stage all equipment at a predetermined site. This is to ensure that all components are ordered and configured correctly and will interconnect properly. Pre-staging gives you the opportunity to load and test the configuration in a controlled environment, thereby mitigating potential installation issues. Pre-staging services would include similar tasks as those above and plus the following:
- Label all blades and repackage for shipment
- Record configuration, model/serial numbers, and shipping information
