Support and Training

Advanced Technical Training (ATT)

Occam is committed to helping technical support personnel improve their Occam BLC knowledge and productivity through in-depth technical education. Experienced Technical Training Specialists will guide students through an instructor-led program that will enable participants to install, configure, test, and manage their Occam BLC networks.

The BLC 6000 Series Installation and Operation class is designed for the entering student with a telecommunications background and experience. It is designed to advance a student with minimal IP/Ethernet experience to utilize IP/Ethernet as used in BLC Domains (rings) for transport and to provide triple-play services. This course is a combined lecture and hands-on lab experience.  Students configure Occam products using both the Command Line Interface and the OccamView Element Management System.

The BLC Network Design class is designed for people who have completed the BLC 6000 Series Installation and Operation class, or those who have already worked with Occam BLC Domains; and who need to make decisions to plan, size, and connect BLC Domains and develop operational procedures. Increased BLC technical detail is covered to assist that process. This course is lecture and discussion only.

Classes are limited to a maximum of 8 students.  A minimum of 4 students must be enrolled one week prior to the start of a class or that class is subject to cancellation.
