Warranty Service (WS)

Occam will replace or repair, at the option of Occam, any such product that is returned during the warranty period and verified by Occam to be defective. This warranty does not apply to any product that has been repaired; worked upon, or altered by persons not authorized by Occam or in the sole judgment of Occam been subjected to abuse, misuse, or negligent acts.

The Hardware Warranty for new Occam products begins upon original ship date, as evidenced by proof of purchase. Refer to your product purchase agreement for specific warranty period information. Hardware Warranty includes remote telephone support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for emergencies and standard business day coverage for non-emergencies. To qualify for 7x24 hour support you will need to provide OSSAN access to the Occam Customer Support engineer when required. Customer installable software maintenance fixes are provided for current release levels. If a hardware problem is identified in the first thirty days after installation, an advanced replacement product will be shipped. The original product must be returned within 14 days to avoid a charge for the value of the replacement item. After thirty days, your unit or a replacement part will be returned within 30 business days of receipt of the failed item. Replacement parts used in hardware repair may be new or equivalent to new.

The Software Warranty for new Occam products begins upon original ship date, as evidenced by proof of purchase. Refer to your product purchase agreement for specific warranty period information. Should the media on which the software is furnished be defective or not substantially conform to the published specifications, Occam will replace the software. Customer installable software maintenance fixes are provided for software release levels during the warranty period. Warranty includes remote telephone support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for emergencies and standard business day coverage for non-emergencies.

The Repaired Product Warranty period for Occam products is ninety days or until the end of the original warranty date, beginning upon the ship date of the returned product. Occam will repair or replace the defective unit and ship within thirty days from receipt of the failed item. All modules are fully tested to meet factory specifications and upgraded to the latest revision level.
